I had a specific need: What’s a headset I can recommend to my overseas coworkers (some who mumble with thick accents) that has a VERY clear mic, good headphone sound quality, works as USB-A or old-school headphone miniplug, and all-day comfort… and under $60.We have a winner! I would say this has an EXCELLENT mic (the best I’ve tested), very good comfort, and very good headphones. I also have Sony studio headphones (no mic), and I am an audiophile who could bore you with the details of why those are better for recording, music, etc. But these Corsairs will give anyone audio listening enjoyment. I’m relatively picky about this, but I do know that for 90% of listeners, these sound good enough to be their only music headphones and they wouldn’t tell any difference with my Sony’s.Alternatives I looked at:The Logitech H390a is a cheapy, with a very clear, VERY bright (perhaps overly bright for many speakers, but this is a fabulous solution for mumblers) microphone, but stiff headphone pads on the ears. I did a 1-hour call with them, and it was okay… but I wouldn’t want them for 3 hours in a row.The SteelSeries Artic Nova 1P – I wanted to love these, comfy, great headphones, but the mic is a little muffled, especially when too close to the mouth. But yeah, nowhere near the mic quality of this one.I dropped a whopping $160 on the Jabra Evolve2 65 – and everyone should know this: 95% of the WIRELESS headsets out there are going to have very poor audio from the bluetooth for the mic. I returned these when I found out. Wanted to love them for their comfort and headphone quality, but the lack of high-frequencies in the mic is a total deal breaker for me.If you want the most UNDERSTANDABLE audio quality for work calls, this Corsair set is the best I’ve found! Better than the apple wired set. (which was my previous gold standard, but certainly picks up way more environmental noise.)

I bought it primarily for Teams calls, and it has exceeded my expectations. The comfort level is outstanding, allowing me to use it for long periods without any discomfort. The clear audio quality makes my calls smooth and enjoyable. It’s also compatible with various gaming consoles. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, versatile headset at a good price!

Ok, the MSRP of this headphones is 70 USD, but is common to see in 50 or even 40, so if you bought this for that price is excellent, is not better gaming headset under 50 USD, has a really good sound quality and the micro is outstading, maybe i never gonna have another headset with this micro quality, is way too much micro that the hyperx cloud III (no hate, only a comparison point) and feels really confortable even for people with big heads and presciption glasses like me and the auto EQ Sound ID is amazing, really gives you a sound for your taste, so anything looks perfect, yep, except for the quality construncion. And dont take me wrong, feels really solid, but the ear pads are really bad, you will need change in the future (1>year) due to the bad glue, and that is 15 USD more to the price and also the plastic headband becomes rigid so is easier to broke, also the micro is really good but is some quiet so you will need so increase the gain level.

10/20 update, the sound is fantastic. The surround sound on pc is great and really makes the movie watching and gaming more immersive! Although the surround sound is not applicable on ps4, the sound is still great. I can identify exactly where the sound comes from when I’m playing Ghost of Tsushima.——Okay, just to be clear, I’m not a fan of Razer or Corsair. I just bought my first razer headset a few days ago, the Kraken tournament edition (Prime’s Day price was just 50$). And after I received the headset, I found the sound was fine, not so great but acceptable. But I couldn’t get my mic work, and also, the razer software just kept failing to start. I had to return that. Luckily I found this corsair one was still on sale, also 50$, and then I decided to give it a shot. It’s way better than the Kraken one…- Surround SoundHs60 pro and Kraken both have 7.1 virtual surround sound. I’ll say hs60 is better. The Kranken one’s surround sound is kind of blurring, and I found my left side was obviously quieter than the right side, and I couldn’t adjust (the headset was not defective. The issue was related to the software). Hs60’s surround is more recognizable. Because I tested it by watching Marvel’s Avenger movie. When the aircraft is flying by, I was amazed a little by the surround sound.- General soundRegardless of the surround sound, I’ll say hs60 and Kraken are similar. Maybe hs60 is a little better. As I said, the Kraken one’s sound is a little blurring. But I didn’t test the Kraken one’s sound very much.- ComfortablenessTo me, Hs60 is the winner. First, the earpad is comfortable in both hs60 and Kraken. But there are 2 things I don’t like about the Kraken one. 1) the headset could not stay on my head… when I lowered my head, it’d slip down. 2) the earpad cannot cover my ear very well, not a big issue, but hs60 does cover my ear obviously better.- MicHs60’s mic works well and the sound quality is nice. Well… the mic on my Kraken one just couldn’t work correctly. The volume was low and I couldn’t adjust it. But I do like the retractable mic design in Kranken. Hs60’s mic can only be attached or removed.Funny thing: I couldn’t get the mic on hs60 work too at first, and just as I was so frustrating I found the problem was that I didn’t push hard enough on the mic boom and it wasn’t actually attached. After it’s attached, the mic worked great.

Really Great Headset and Sound Quality
I bought this headset after doing some research on it and so far I’ve been really happy with it. I use it while working from home to listen to music or podcasts to cover sounds from leaf blowers, construction work, lawn mowing etc. I also tried it for gaming and it has performed really well so far.You will need Corsair’s iCUE software and to use the USB adapter if you want to manage EQ settings and use 7.1 surround sound, otherwise it will work with the 3.5mm jack for your PC or console. It’s a comfortable fit that can be adjusted, the ear muffs are soft and don’t hurt your ears after prolonged usage.I bought this to upgrade from a Razer headset that was incredibly buggy and their Synapse software was terrible with multiple issues and incompatibilities with Windows 10 and 11. I would happily recommend this headset.
